Fully waterproofing a basement in Penetanguishene, ON

Challenge

A homeowner in Penetanguishene, ON contacted us after discovering water intrusion around the entire perimeter of their 1,500 sq. ft. finished basement. With finished flooring, walls, and living space at risk, the persistent water threatened not just comfort and air quality, but also the structural integrity of the home and the homeowner's investment in the lower level.

Our Customer Care Specialist promptly scheduled a home inspection. Upon visiting the property, our System Design Specialist conducted a thorough assessment and confirmed the source of the issue: perimeter leakage that posed a high risk of future flooding if left untreated.

Solution

To resolve the problem and protect the basement long-term, we installed a custom waterproofing system designed specifically for this home.

First, we placed the WaterGuard® sub-floor drainage system around the interior perimeter to capture water seeping in through walls and floors, and redirect it safely to a sump system.
We installed the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, which features three levels of protection to keep the basement dry under all conditions, including heavy storms or pump failure.
For extra reliability during power outages, we added the UltraSump® Battery Backup System.
Outside the home, we included a LawnScape™ Outlet, which discreetly discharges water away from the foundation and prevents clogging.
To handle cold weather, our crew installed IceGuard®, a freeze-resistant sump discharge line that ensures water can exit the home even in winter.
