Crawl Space Encapsulation and Support Installation in Blackstock, Ontario

In this Blackstock crawl space project, we resolved severe moisture and structural concerns using a full Basement Systems solution. The space was first encapsulated with the CleanSpace® system, a durable vapor barrier designed to prevent humidity, mold, and soil gases from entering the home. Beneath it, CleanSpace® Drainage Matting was installed to create a drainage path and direct water toward the discharge point. For active water management, the SmartDrain™ sump pump system was added, featuring a reliable Zoeller® pump, an airtight lid, and a built-in alarm to detect plumbing leaks. To address structural weakening caused by prolonged moisture, SmartJack® steel support posts were installed, providing adjustable, long-term stabilization for sagging joists and ensuring the crawl space remains secure and structurally sound.
